Going out in style: Glamorous benefit for Needy Families fund
Some 73 guests glammed-up for a good cause at the seventh annual Glamour and Gourmet fundraiser Nov. 9 inside Andreas Hogue Salon in Glenview.
Benefitting the Needy Family Fund, the event raised $2,400.
Andreas Hogue Salon will continue to accept donations until Christmas Eve and make weekly drop-offs to the Sharing Room (where needed items are collected).
Most needed are: paper goods, cleaning supplies, shampoo and conditioner, and gift cards to grocery stores. In addition, they are asking for donors to simply bring in their pocket change as this is desperately needed by the families in order to do laundry.
