Going Out in Style: A Christmas miracle for Catholic Charities Saint Nicholas Ball
A jolly good time was had by all 1,350 bedecked guests of Catholic Charities’ Spirit of Saint Nicholas Ball on Dec. 2 held at the Hilton Chicago.
Presented by Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, and Monsignor Michael Boland, president/CEO of Catholic Charities, the event is named in honor of St. Nicholas, a fourth-century bishop known for his storied care of needy, particularly children.
Fittingly, proceeds benefit more than 300,000 children throughout Cook and Lake counties who receive care through Catholic Charities’ child development and teen parenting centers, and after-school programs.
The event raised $1.7 million dollars.
