Going Out in Style: Meals on Wheels celebrates 29th Celebrity Chef Ball
Morgan Manufacturing in Chicago was where 80 top chefs, two dozen mixologists and 850 supporters of Meals on Wheels Chicago (MOWC) gathered on Nov. 10 to ring in the 29th annual Celebrity Chef Ball. The Wirtz family of Glenview, official sponsors of MOWC’s 30th anniversary, served as honorary chairs together with Breakthru Beverage Illinois.
The Celebrity Chef Ball raises more than $250,000 annually, generating one quarter of MOWC’s annual revenue to fund programs for Chicago’s homebound senior and disabilities communities. The event raised nearly $195,000 dollars. Proceeds support MOWC’s mission to promote independence through meal delivery.
